I stayed in a Superior King Room with incredible countryside views. The décor was cozy and well-maintained, creating a warm atmosphere. The staff really stood out. they were attentive and welcoming, making me feel valued throughout my stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with a good selection including tasty eggs benedict. Dined in the Gallery restaurant for dinner, where the food was exquisite, but the menu had limited vegetarian options. The service for lunch was slow, and I had to wait longer than expected to place my order. I experienced some noise from the bar area during the evening, which disrupted the peaceful vibe. the location is stunning, just a short distance from Chatsworth House, making it perfect for exploration.

I loved my stay here, especially the spacious room with large windows overlooking the Derwent valley, making it a delight to wake up to such beautiful views, and it's just a short walk to Chatsworth Park for a lovely afternoon stroll.

the location is super close to chatsworth house which is really convenient, surroundings were beautiful and nice for walks. coffee from the cafetiere in the room was really good, loved that. the staff seemed friendly and helpful during our stay. nice big room so didn’t feel cramped at all. whole vibe was relaxing and chill, perfect for a getaway.
the dinner menu was kinda limited and didn’t excite me. It was a bit noisy outside at night. could use some soundproofing for the windows.

Had a lovely stay with the most comfortable room and stunning views from our window. The fresh milk in the fridge was a sweet touch! The sun terrace was perfect for relaxing with a drink, and we enjoyed strolling through the beautiful garden area too. Just wish there were some extra signs to make finding our room easier, but overall a great experience! 😊

A lovely hotel with a gorgeous, comfortable room featuring a huge, cozy bed and a well-equipped bathroom without any usual frustrations. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a relaxed atmosphere, but portions at dinner were uncomfortably small, leaving me craving more. The slippery car park was a concern during cold weather, suggesting a need for better maintenance.

The refurbished rooms hold a certain charm, especially the ones in the Coach House with their four-poster beds and impressive rain shower heads. It's situated right on the northern edge of a sprawling estate, perfect for those who like a good walk amongst some striking scenery.
During my visit, food options for those with dairy or vegan preferences were limited for a place of this calibre. Breakfast proved to be a bit of a muddle. we waited far too long for service in the dining area, and ended up leaving without being offered any coffee. Parking can be a bit of a hassle as well, especially when inconsiderate guests block others in, as happened to us. Finally, there was a leak in the bathroom that I hope got sorted before the next guests arrived.

You know, the food and hotel really lived up to my expectations. The room had a stunning view, it was just breathtakingly beautiful, looking out over those green rolling hills in the distance. And that afternoon tea? It was like a dream. Mini scones and lemon pots were the highlights, perfectly balanced.
